Premiums due before June 28

PHILIPSBURG -Social and Health Insurance SZV will be taking “strict measures” against companies that have failed to pay or have made only partial payments of their cessantia premiums. Employers have until Friday, June 28, to make their cessantia or severance premium payments to SZV to avoid the strict measures. The annual payment is NAf. 40 per employee. Cesssantia is a social system established for former employees that entitles them to a one-time severence payment. If a former employee is not unemployed by choice, he or she is entitled to this payment, an SZV representative said in a press release. “To fund this, it is absolutely necessary that employers pay their severance premium to the SZV.” The payment toward serverence for each person employed up to December 1, 2012, can be made at SZV’s cashier. The employer must fill in and submit the cessantia declaration payment form indicating the number of employees for whom the cessantia premium is being paid.   Cessantia declaration payment forms are available at the SZV cashier in building 1 on level 1B or online via . The cashier is open Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 12:00pm, and from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. On Fridays, it is open until 3:00pm. SZV is located at Harbour View, Sparrow Road 4, in Philipsburg
