St. Maarten Justice Minister meets parliament on legal codes

MONDAY, 02 SEPTEMBER 2013

PHILIPSBURG–The draft national ordinances on inheritance and legacies, revision Common Law marriage, rent/leasing, provisions for the sale of property and assets and acceptance/contacting of work are among the topics Members of Parliament (MPs) will handle when they meet with Justice Minister Dennis Richardson on Tuesday.

The Central Committee, slated in Parliament House starting at 2:00pm, will also cover provisions for protection of consumers, particularly on telesales contracts and warranties, sole proprietorship and implementation centralised registration of child abuse.

This parliamentary session is open to the public. It will also be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120, Pearl Radio FM 98.1,
