Monday, June 10, 2013

PHILIPSBURG – Members of Parliament (MPs) will meet with the Committee for Financial Supervision CFT on the county’s Financial management in a closed-door meeting of the Central Committee of Parliament at Parliament House on Wednesday starting at 10:00 am.
MPs are to receive a presentation on the findings of the Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) Report which is an inventory of the Financial management of the country.
PEFA was founded in 2001 and originates from the aid effectiveness agenda as a Multi-door partnership between seven donor agencies and international Financial institutions to assess the condition of country public expenditures, procurement and Financial accountability systems, and develop a practical sequence for reform and capacity-building actions.
